Where can I use my Premier FX currency card?

The cards can be used anywhere that displays the MasterCard sign. It can be used in shops, restaurants, online or for withdrawing cash as long as you have sufficient funds on the card.

Can I view my balance at an ATM?

What do I need to do when I receive my card?

You must sign your card as soon as you receive it and activate it before it can be used. To activate your card, please visit, log-in by entering your Prepaid Card number or email address and the access code that you received through the email confirmation. Once logged in, click the "Activate Plastic" button found under "My Account" tab and follow the instructions. At this time, you will be given a 4-digit PIN number used for in-store purchases and cash withdrawal.

What are the minimum/maximum card funds?

Premier FX Currency Cards are subject to a minimum load of $75/€60, and a maximum load of $6000/€5000 . Once activated, the maximum balance of a Premier FX Currency Card is $10000/€7500.  The amount depends on whether you have chosen a Euro or USD Currency Card.

How do I fund my card?

Currency cards can be funded by logging into your account via and purchasing currency with a UK debit card or bank transfer.

Do I need a new credit history to apply for the card?

We only use address verification procedures and identity checks.  We do not undertake any credit checks.

What happens if my card is lost or stolen?

You should treat your Premier FX Card like cash in a wallet. If it is lost or stolen, you may lose some or all of the money on your card. As a result, you must keep your card safe and not let anyone else use it. When you retrieve your PIN, you must immediately memorise it and keep it secret at all times.   We recommend that you check the balance on your card regularly. To see your balance and most recent statement of transactions, please visit, log-in and visit the 'Your Account' section. This information can be viewed at any time.   If you suspect your PremierFX Card has been lost or stolen, or you suspect it has been used by someone, you must tell us as soon as you can by calling our 24 hour helpline on +44 (0) 844 7744 725 (normal UK landline charges apply). Alternatively you can select the 'Lost/Stolen' option in the 'Cards' tab under your account online. We will then cancel your PremierFX Card. If you ask us to do so, we will ask the police to investigate any suspected misuse of your card. Please note that they may need more information and assistance from you. We will immediately refund the amount of any transactions that the investigation shows were not authorised by you, provided you have kept your card and PIN secure. However, if the investigation shows that any disputed transaction was authorised by you or you have not kept your card or PIN secure, we will not refund the transaction amount and will charge you a one-off administration fee of £10.00.

How long does it take for the funds to appear on the card?

We will credit your card once we have received your funds in payment for the currency. Payments are to be made by debit card or bank transfer and funds are usually credited to your account within 24 hours.

How long does it take to get my card?

Once a currency card is ordered, you should receive it within 5 to 7 working days.
